Heather Axtell
Facility Manager
I have cared for cats and dogs my entire life. 15 years ago, I began working at Paws & Effect Inc. and shortly after my journey in rescue began working with Paws Across Oswego County.
I believe that all animals have individual personalities and I love able to to learn about each animals and build a relationship with them. Myself and the entire staff at Paws and Effect Inc. take pride in providing the most loving care here and always putting the animal needs first, whether that be daycare, grooming, or training.
Brad Wentworth
Trainer & Daycare Manager
Professionally, I have been working with animals for 17 years; although I have been around them my whole life. Growing up, I was always around the dogs being groomed and boarded here at Paws & Effect Inc. which gave me valuable insights and experience.
Through my years of experience, I have gotten to know thousands of combinations of human/ dog relationships, allowing me to develop tailored paths for success for many dogs and people. As with most things in life I believe balance is key and I strive to create that balance for all of my clients and furry friends.
I want you to know that we all feel honored and blessed to have the wonderful supporters we already have and we hope you too will become part of our community and feel at home with us.
Marjorie Wentworth

My career with animals began as a vet assistant in 1981 working with Dr. Dimon. In 1983, I entered grooming school in Lynn, Massachusetts. After graduation, I worked at a local groomers until 1989 when I opened Paws & Effect Inc .and subsequently co-founded Paws Across Oswego County with my co-workers.
I have always treated every pet as I would my own, with love and respect. Over the years, I have gained more and more understanding of dogs in all stages of life. We never stop learning, attending conferences, and seminars to be sure we do our best for our clients. I have always been honored to be trusted with peoples loved one. Our pets are an important part of our family and we will always ensure that they receive the love and respect they deserve
Connie Evans
Groomer
After graduating from the New York Dog Grooming School, I have over 30 years in the grooming field and 25 years in animal rescue, I feel I am equipped to handle many different grooming situations. I strive to give each dog the love, care, and respect I would want someone to give my dogs. I recognize that each dog has a unique set of needs and I strive to meet those needs.
I will always treat dogs in my care as if they were my own.
